Watchers Council Nominations - Obama's Cairo Speech Sure Was Something

yyy

I'm hopelessly behind on my Watcher's Council posts, so I'm going to hit "the reset button" and start again with this week's submissions. Then we'll see about "beginning a new relationship" where I make a ton of concessions and you decline to respond. Although if you want to break out of the Obama approach to foreign policy by hitting "the donate button" at the top of the page, I can't stop you. And by "the donate button" I mean the donate button.

Obama's Cairo Speech was obviously the major focus, with Soccer Dad, Wolf Howling, and Joshuapundit all covering it. My own post covered how the speech fit into the broader plan of anti-Israel partisans to downgrade the US-Israel alliance.

Domestically, the Provocateur wrote about ACORN's less than robust commitment to paying their taxes. You'll be glad to know that they've begun to supplement their income with global warming hysteria.

The Colossus of Rhodey related an anecdote about how the culture of entitlement plays out between tin-eared parents and their ill-raised children. There's a reason why we're several generations removed from the past sacrifices of American heroes that Bookworm Room wrote about.

Anyone interested in getting beyond mere online authorship to something a little more traditional would be well-advised to read The Glittering Eye's take on the distribution of risk in the publishing industry. If you're more inclined toward blogospheric controversies, Right Truth's take on the BNP - as much background as advocacy - is required reading.

Philosophically, the Razor made the strong and long overdue conservative case for animal rights.
