Personally I'm excited to know whether we're going to be going the "strap a weapon to it" route or the "teach it to climb walls" route. Either choice would be a fantastic option and I see no way that this can go poorly.

Has anybody considered that the incipient "robot-human convergence" might not mean the same thing to us that it does to them? According to io9 it has taught itself to walk and its makers expect an entire "robo species" with similar learning abilities. Sweet dreams.
