Figures: AIG Forced To Issue "How To Avoid Lynch Mobs" Memo

Figures

Barney Frank is all but threatening to unleash populist mobs against law abiding AIG executives. The President of the United States is comparing them to terrorists.

No wonder that they had to issue a memo about how to avoid lynch mobs:

Due to a growing sense of public attention fueled by increased media scrutiny, AIG Corporate Security would like to highlight certain protective measures all employees can take in order to increase their overall safety and security.

It is crucial that everyone remain vigilant during this time and understand that if at any given moment a threat is perceived; 911 should be dialed immediately. All other information, suspicious behaviors, questionable activities, etc. should be reported to your local building security as soon as possible. In order to mitigate these threats we have provided the following safety and security guidelines for your review.

Therein follow bulletpoints like "don't wear AIG tags in public" and "travel in pairs." Because it's AIG's fault that the Democrats couldn't fix the economy by recklessly spending trillions of dollars, passing punitive revenue-tanking sin taxes, and imposing populist revenue-tanking salary caps.

Let me see if I understand this though: Democrats gave taxpayer money to AIG. Then they took it back. In between they managed to frighten away all the competent people from the financial institutions they're trying to save. Is that about right?

I'm thinking of setting up a betting pool about who the Democrats will scapegoat when demonizing AIG gets old. This'll be fun. We can all work together to come up with a list of things like "Halliburton," "factory owners," "SUV drivers," "people scared away from their finance jobs by Democratic demagoguery," "farmers," etc. Then readers can pay like $2 per choice or something. Winner takes the whole pot.

We should probably also include "people who support aid to Israel," huh?
