Hamas Soldiers Threw "Medicine Grenades" At The IDF

Medicine Grenades Palestinian War Crimes

Old CW: a pathological ideology combined with oil wealth and UN largess prevents innovation throughout the Arab world. New CW: Hamas terrorists are the MacGyvers of war crimes:

Medicine bottles, transferred to the Gaza Strip as humanitarian aid by Israel, were used by Hamas as grenades against IDF troops during Operation Cast Lead. Pictures of the grenades were obtained exclusively by The Jerusalem Post. The medicine bottles were manufactured by the Jerusalem Pharmaceutical Company... The medicine bottles were filled with explosives, holes were drilled in the caps, and fuses were installed. Once Hamas fighters lit the fuses, they had several seconds to throw the grenades at soldiers. The IDF also found small explosive devices that used medical syringes to hold their fuses... "This is another example of Hamas's cynical use of humanitarian supplies to attack Israel," a Defense Ministry official said Thursday. "Israel facilitates the transfer of the supplies to the Gaza Strip, and Hamas uses the supplies to create weapons."

I'm getting the picture from the JPost writeup. It does indeed seem to show a bunch of medical bottles that have been transformed into grenades. Which means that many of Israel's Cast Lead humanitarian transfers - done under immense international pressure - were weapons deliveries to the enemy. 12pm on Monday: deliver medical supplies. 8am on Tuesday: get medical supplies back in the form of explosives thrown at Israeli troops. It's a cycle of medical supplies!

The alternative explanation is that Hamas needed to transform hospital storerooms into military outposts and they didn't want the medicine bottles to go to waste. Because they're humanitarians.
