Video: Opps! Al Arabiya Accidentally Airs Description Of Hamas Firing Rockets From Al Arabiya's Own Studio

Recorded on January 1. No subtitles so the video is useless unless you speak Arabic. Via LGF it turns out that there are in fact subtitles embedded in this video - you can turn them on by clicking on the button on the bottom-right. The emailer who sent the link backs up the video description: this is Al Arabiya reporter Hannan al-Masri being told - while live on the air - that Hamas has just fired rockets from the ground floor of the Al Arabiya studio. She reacts with something less than distress:

Just so you don't feel cheated by that video, here's one in English giving a broad overview of Hamas's use of human shields...

... and here's a extensive study and taxonomy of the myriad ways they pull off this particular war crime:

This study (completed during the first week of Operation Cast Lead) provides many examples of how Gazan civilians are used as human shields during terrorist attacks against Israel and combat against the IDF. The examples are based on Israel 's accumulated experience in its combating terrorism from the Gaza Strip, including the first week of the Operation. The main findings are the following:

i) Military and security personnel, facilities and installations are situated within dense population concentrations (including residential dwellings and public institutions, such as schools, mosques and hospitals)
ii) Rockets and mortar shells are fired at Israeli population centers
iii) The terrorists fight against the IDF from within residences and public institutions, and use ambulances to evacuate terrorist operatives from the battlefield
iv) Civilians, including women and children, are deliberately used as human shields to protect terrorist operatives whose houses the organizations fear may be attacked by the IDF
v) The terrorists hold military training, exercises and shows of fighting
vi) Women and children are used as human shields

Israel has formally presented the UN with evidence outlining Hamas's military exploitation of Palestinian civilians. The UN has responded by tasking at least two commissions with gathering evidence for war crimes prosecutions related to Palestinian civilian casualties. Prosecutions of Israeli officials of course. Not Hamas officials. Because how would that make any sense?
