Israeli Hospitals Treating Wounded Palestinians (Plus: Hamas Unleashes Another Round Of Missiles At Israeli Schools And Hospitals)

Schools and Hospitals

Not for nothing, but this is how far Israel will go to minimize Palestinian civilian casualties:

Twelve Palestinians have been evacuated to Israel for medical treatment since Operation "Cast Lead" began last Saturday in the Gaza Strip, as the hospitals in Gaza strain to accommodate the hundreds of wounded. For one Gaza boy, being treated in an Israeli hospital should increase his chances of making a full recovery. About a week and a half ago, before the operation began, 9-year-old Sari Alsamana from Beit Hanoun was playing with his cousin outside his house in the northern Gaza town when a Qassam rocket fired by Gaza militants landed nearby, followed minutes later by an additional rocket strike in the same spot.

Meanwhile Hamas's indiscriminate shelling of Israeli civilian targets - including hospitals where these Palestinians - is continuing apace:

Palestinians fired several rockets towards southern Israel on Saturday morning. Two people were lightly injured by shrapnel after a rocket hit a building in the port city of Ashdod. A woman suffered shock as a rocket landed in an open field in the Kiryat Malachi area. Magen David Adom rescue forces and firefighters were dispatched to the area to put out a fire that broke out in the yard. About 10 rockets have been fired into southern Israel by Palestinian gunmen since Saturday morning. One of the rockets hit a house in the seaside city of Ashkelon. There were no reports of injuries, but damage was caused.

Targeting Israeli hospitals where Palestinians are being treated: actually kind of a thing for Hamas.
