An elegant counterpoint to that idiotic Times Online article about how Hamas is just misunderstood. I mean - maybe. Is there a chance that I'm missing some nuance here?

Four advanced Grad rockets hit Ashkelon - long out of Hamas's range - within a few minutes this morning. The city has been suffering near-constant barrages for the last few days. In Tel Aviv - home to about one-sixth of Israel's population and the heart of secular Israel - they've been told to prepare shelters. This is the demographic equivalent of all thr citizens in LA, New York, and Chicago being told to huddle in bomb shelters. Except take that and multiply it - roughly - 20 times. Economically it's the second biggest city in the Middle East and the 51st in the world. It's the epitome of an advanced Western city - filled with skyscrapers, technologically sophisticated, and socially liberal.

But apparently it has to be indiscriminately shelled. Because Hamas felt the need a week ago to refuse a ceasefire and barrage Israel with rockets after not getting enough fruits and vegetables for six months.
