Hamas Mocks Shalit During Gigantic Rally: "I Miss My Mom And Dad"

Savages

Savages:

Hamas paraded a mock-captive Israeli soldier before thousands of supporters during a rally Sunday to celebrate the militant group's 21st anniversary. The mock-soldier, was dressed in an Israel Defense Forces soldier uniform and stood before the crowd begging in Hebrew to be returned home. "I miss my Mom and Dad," said a Hamas loyalist, in a clear reference to captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit, seized by Hamas-backed Palestinian militants in June 2006. Egyptian-mediated negotiations to exchange Schalit for hundreds of Palestinian prisoners have repeatedly foundered.

I'm going to send you over to Carl for the tape of these cretins doing their cretinous thing. Not much to say. Here's a report that says Israel is planning to release 299 Palestinian prisoners today. And here's a different story about how diplomats - including the World Bank President, the IMF President, and Tony Blair - are putting unprecedented pressure on Israel to give Hamas even more money lest Gaza's banking system collapse. Because we wouldn't want that.

Amazing that Carter couldn't talk Hamas out of it since he was sitting with Hamas officials at the time. Which makes it two times this year. And he says he's going to keep doing it because "peace requires dialogue with all sides." Especially when one side is a throwback to primitive tribes who marched into battle hoisting up the heads of captured prisoners. Definitely need some dialogue with those folks.

Incidentally - try typing "primitive battlefields captured prisoners" into Google. Figures.
