Evil Israeli Apartheid Regime Responds To Another Day Of Rockets By Sending Money Into Gaza

Another Day

Another day another rocket barrage. And while it looks increasingly likely that something's in the works, in the meantime Israel is floating the Gaza economy:

Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Wednesday approved the transfer of some NIS 100 million from West Bank banks to banks in the Gaza Strip. IDF spokesman Peter Lerner said armored trucks would cross from the West Bank to Gaza with the money. He said the transfer would be carried out by Sunday. The decision came in response to a "personal appeal" from Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salaam Fayad and a request from Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer, the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

I'd be loathe to follow Shas chair Eli Yishi in calling it a "terror transfer" though. The Security Fence has made it all but impossible for Gaza terrorists to get to Israeli civilians. But I understand how - simply from a public communication standpoint - "terror transfer" might be preferable to the more accurate "money for genocidal enemies who are stockpiling weapons and training a massive army transfer." And just as a reminder: whatever humanitarian crisis Gaza faces - to the limited extent that it even does - is certainly not because of Israel.
