Livni: Hey, I Guess These Daily Rocket Attacks Aren't Much Of A Ceasefire After All

Oh you think so doctor?
Hours after Defense Minister Ehud Barak ordered the border crossings with the Gaza Strip opened to allow the passage of humanitarian aid, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni warned on Tuesday that the consequences of renewed Palestinian rocket into Israeli territory may be much tougher than yet another closure. "A [military] response is important; even if it doesn't automatically end the Palestinian rocket fire, there is something important in the impression, and Israel's deterrence ability," she said... Earlier in the day, Barak ordered that the Gaza crossings be opened to allow into the territory over 70 trucks carrying humanitarian aid.
Hundreds of thousands of Israelis are now within range of the rockets that Hamas smuggled into Gaza via tunnels lit by Israeli-supplied energy. Nice to see somebody notice. She's also right about Israel's slipping deterrent viz-a-viz Hamas. But then again so was Mofaz when he said it a month ago.
Israel should switch to a system of permanent elections. Just do them every three months. Prime Ministers would elected, appoint their cabinets, and immediately go back to running . Apparently it's the only way to get Israeli politicians to defend Israeli citizens. Gaza has been closed to reporters again, for whatever that's worth.
