Another Day Another Palestinian Rocket Barrage. New Rockets Bring Hundreds Of Thousands Of Israelis Within Range.

Another Day

I'm thinking of replacing all the posts on MR with a very simple script - just one - built out of two Google News RSS feeds. Here's how it works. One feed looks for for articles that match "qassam or kassam." The second feed looks articles that matches "diplomat and Israel." Take the first article from each every morning, splice them together, and voila: a post about how it's Israel's fault that Palestinians keep launching rockets at Israeli civilians.

The vaunted calm with Hamas never existed. Whatever did exist was certainly over when Hamas started firing rockets and anti-tank missiles as the end of October. And during the first week of November. And during the second week of November. And during the third week of November. And during the fourth week of November. And during the first week of December. And yesterday. And today.

In the last few weeks hundreds of Palestinian rockets and missiles have rained down on Israel. They've hit homes and IDF bases and factories and power lines. And their next barrage of advanced missiles - smuggled into Gaza over the last few months - may well target hundreds of thousands of Israeli civilians:

Hundreds of thousands of residents are facing a new threat: The Home Front Command recently handed out leaflets to the residents of the port city of Ashdod, the town of Kiryat Malachi and several other communities, explaining the ways to properly prepare for missile attacks. The move was launched for fear that terror organizations in the Gaza Strip have managed to significantly increase their rocket launching range, to up to 30 kilometers... The defense establishment has been preparing for an expansion of the missile and rocket threat from Gaza for some time now. A wide-scale drill was held in Ashdod in July, simulating rockets landing in the city.

Hey remember that Sderot resident who asked Obama to bring the world's attention to the constant bombardment of Israeli schools and hospitals? That was pretty adorable wasn't it?
