Obama NSA Pick James Jones: Hey, How About Some International Troops In The West Bank?

Amazing. He was sent to the West Bank in January to conclude that NATO should send a force into the West Bank and now he's concluded that NATO should send a force into the West Bank. What were the odds?
General James Jones, whom U.S. President-elect Barack Obama is widely expected to tap as his national security adviser, supports the deployment of an international force in the West Bank instead of the Israel Defense Forces. He also opposes Israel's demand to retain extensive security control over the territories even after a Palestinian state is established. Jones served as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's special envoy for Israeli-Palestinian security issues over the past year. He was tasked in particular with formulating security arrangements between Israel and the future Palestinian state... Israeli officials say that such a force sounds wonderful, but in practice cannot provide the intelligence necessary to prevent terror.
Right. Because foreign troops from NATO countries have done such a great job in South Lebanon. And no - it's not just because they're under a UNIFIL mandate seemingly drafted specifically to screw Israel. The problems come from individual troops themselves, who come from virulently anti-Israel countries and are often unsure which side they're on.
Another recent advocate of foreign troops in the West Bank: Arab League Secretary-General Amr Moussa, who has personally insisted over and over again that any peace deal with Israel has to include the de facto destruction of Israel.
I wonder if that Moussa thing could be related to that Lebanon thing in some way.
