Breathtakingly Stupid VP Candidate Very Lucky The Media's In The Tank For Obama
It'd be nice to say that Joe Biden was lying when he recently claimed that Obama's campaign hasn't paid ACORN "a single penny." But most philosophers agree that lying requires some level of intention. And given that Biden routinely seems like a blistering idiot, I'm not sure that this demonstrable falsehood actually counts as a lie. Ditto for "was Biden lying when he was wrong about Iraq SOFA negotiations" or "was Biden lying when he was wrong about the 2006 Hamas election" or "was Biden lying when he was wrong about Hezbollah's position in Lebanon" - tough philosophical questions. This interview, though, is solid gold:
I wonder what would happen if Sarah Palin responded like this to tough interview questions. Do you think the media would ignore it or do you think it would become a multi-month narrative about her inexperience that slowly imploded her political career? I'm asking purely as a hypothetical.
Whether Biden lied or not, this interview good enough to get WFTV banned from interviewing Obama surrogates (seems eerily familiar, no?) The station would've been better off following ABC's lead and burying Biden's gaffes like obsequious media outlets are supposed to:

As it is, a mere total blackout is a light wrist slap coming from the Obama campaign. I just hope Barbara West's taxes are in order.
