Gazans Fire Six Rockets At Israeli Schools And Hospitals, Kill Israeli Soldier (Plus: Israel Makes Broad Humanitarian, Security Concessions)

Just another day in the fast-tracked Israeli-Palestinian peace process:
An elite IDF soldier was killed and two others were wounded on Wednesday during clashes with Palestinian gunmen in the southern Gaza Strip. The soldier killed was 21-year-old Staff Sgt. Bisan Sayef from the village of Jatt, the IDF announced. The soldiers were from the Golani Brigade's elite Egoz unit and were operating to uncover terror infrastructure near the Kissufim Crossing, once the main crossing into Gaza before Israel's 2005 unilateral withdrawal. As the soldiers searched the area, they came under gun and anti-tank missile fire from a well-planned ambush by Palestinian gunmen. One of the soldiers was killed and two others were lightly wounded. All were evacuated to Soroka Hospital in Beersheba for treatment. The IDF troops returned fire and according to Palestinian reports one Hamas operative was killed and at least four others were wounded... Also Tuesday, Palestinian terrorists in Gaza fired six Kassam rockets at Israel. The rockets hit open areas, three landing south of Ashkelon. No one was wounded and no damage was reported.
Obviously this is just like Nazi Germany. Except for how the Jews never really shelled German schoolchildren in the 1930s and 1940s. And except for how the Germans never made dramatic symbolic and material humanitarian gestures:
Olmert toured areas where the IDF had removed some of the 60 roadblocks and dirt obstacles that had been set up in the West Bank, and said that "the matter of easing the lives of Palestinians in the West Bank is important because only this way will they be able to sense change on the ground, and that there is a chance that the peace process will succeed and that there is a reason to reject the extremists."
Hey, you don't think there's a chance that the UN's vicious smears - which sound just like anti-Semitism - are driven by something other than objective humanitarian concerns?
