Obama Draws Line In The Sand: Invading Israel OK But Calling Hillary A Mean Name Is A Firing Offense

Bye

Until today Obama's foreign policy adviser was a woman who once advocated militarily invading Israeli territory to stop whatever it is she hysterically imagined the Israelis were doing to the Palestinians. In contrast to their usual untenable, unblinking denials, they admitted she was constantly advising him on Israel. That was all fine. But tarnish Obama's pure halo of hope and change? Bye:

Samantha Power, a senior foreign policy adviser to Sen. Barack Obama, resigned Friday morning after calling Sen. Hillary Clinton a "monster" in an interview with a European newspaper. "With deep regret, I am resigning from my role as an adviser the Obama campaign effective today," said Power in a statement issued by the Obama campaign. "Last Monday, I made inexcusable remarks that are at marked variance from my oft-stated admiration for Senator Clinton and from the spirit, tenor and purpose of the Obama campaign. And I extend my deepest apologies to Senator Clinton, Senator Obama and the remarkable team I have worked with over these long 14 months." Power's statement came scarcely an hour after congressional supporters of Clinton demanded that Obama fire Power for the remarks.

That leaves only, what? Four or five of America's most prominent anti-Israel partisans advising the campaign. And - dishonest pro-Obama claims aside - none of its pro-Israeli thinkers. Plus it's functionally impossible for Hillary to catch up in the delegate count. Plus Obama is projected to beat McCain in the general. Happy Friday.
