An informal survey of community activists and leaders conducted a month ago showed "overwhelming" support for Obama, according to James Zogby, president of the [Arab-American Institute]. The number of those favoring Obama was double that of all other candidates combined... Like the Jewish community, Arab Americans, who are roughly 75% Christian and 25% Muslim, vote largely Democratic, said Zogby. "And we expect that trend to continue; I don't see anyone on the Republican side reversing policies people care about." "What made Bill Clinton different [from other candidates] is that both Jews and Arabs felt he didn't see a difference between the communities, and we are looking for a candidate [like Clinton] that doesn't see the [Israeli-Palestinian] conflict as zero sum," Zogby said. "We find when we do polling, that our community likes to see their views converge with Jews on peace issues."

First of all, before we get to anything else: holy shit do you people piss us off. Now that that's out of the way, we should point out that you really fucking piss us off. And what's more, you've taken to being particularly retarded about it.

But Jews should definitely keep voting for Democrats. Because the much more prevalent and powerful leftist and Arab Democrats - who vote for what they think are anti-Israel political platforms - probably just haven't thought about it as much as you have. You're much more savvy. And besides, like Zogby says - it's not like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is zero-sum. It'd only be zero sum if the Palestinians were demanding something crazy, like that Israel has to expell West Bank Jews from their homes to make way for a future Palestinian state.

Oh, and one more thing - holy shit you people are stupid:

In any case, it appears that many Jews, liberal and young, have long been convinced that [Obama's] views on Israel put their minds at ease. His pledge to push the peace process forward ("It's in Israel's interest," he explained in one speech) certainly has not given them pause. Crown, who has supported Obama for some time, and who has been an Israel supporter for a longer time, promised the readers of his open letter: "As president, he will be the friend to Israel that we all want to see in the White House - stalwart in his defense of Israel's security, and committed to helping Israel achieve peace with its neighbors."

Our original punchline to that quote was "yeah, just like Carter did." But then we remembered that one of Obama's most significant foreign policy advisers is Zbigniew Brzezinski, and then it wasn't a punchline any more.
