Bush: Let's Put The Palestinian Right Of Return On The Table

It's Over Man

Explicitly and shamelessly repudiating the deal he made with Sharon so Israel would leave the Gaza Strip - and isn't that just the most original thing ever - President Bush has just gone farther than any previous US President in suggesting that maybe Israel should just go ahead and commit national suicide:

Visiting US President George Bush called on Israel to remove "illegal outposts" in the West Bank, saying that "they simply ought to go" during an evening press conference shared by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Wednesday. At the same time Bush called for all issues to be addressed during negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians - including the Palestinian 'right of return.' Regarding an Israeli-Palestinian two-state solution, the US president reiterated that although the US had a vital role in assisting in negotiations, "people must understand that America cannot dictate the terms of the [Palestinian] state." Bush said he believes Israeli and Palestinian leaders have willingness and desire to create a Palestinian state.

Oh we have no doubt about the push for a Palestinian state. It's the fate of a Jewish state - in the aftermath of being flooded by three million of the world's most vicious and violent anti-Semitic lunatics - that seems to be up for grabs. This visit is already totally super. Who knows how good tomorrow can get?

We can only imagine the sophistication behind the State Department's green light for this blindside: "if we start off talking about destroying Israel completely, it'll look like a concession when we only pressure them to divide Jerusalem and withdraw to indefensible borders." Because these people are really smart.
