We really do adore all those statements of Hamas-enforced law and order in Gaza. It's always interesting what kind of "crimes" will get you shot:

The Palestinian police force in the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah, formerly Hamas’ Executive Force, on Tuesday opened fire at a local resident who claimed he was the prophesised redeemer of Islam ‘Mahdi’. The self-professed Mahdi went to a Hamas-affiliated Imam in Rafah to state his claims, stressing that people follow his divine direction. According to eyewitnesses, an enraged Imam contacted the police. The man was arrested and ordered to revoke his claims. When he refused, the police shot at his feet, before releasing him.

Because why not have a little sadistic fun at the expense of an obviously pathetic and deranged man, ya know? Let the thuggish Hamas kids live a little. Can you imagine the global outcry that would have ensued if Israeli soldiers went so far as to even detain a Gaza man claiming to be a Muslim messiah?

There's a very old Dennis Miller routine about PLO terrorists in Athens accidentally capping the Messiah when he arrives. Every time you think that the Palestinians can't become more of a shameless caricature of themselves, there they go becoming more of a shameless caricature of themselves.
