UN Ignores Palestinian Attacks Explicitly Designed To Target Israeli Schoolchildren
One more quick thing about that idiotic "oh, it's all the distractions that are harming Gaza schoolchildren" UN statement. It turns out that there actually are campaigns around Gaza meant to disrupt the school day and harm students academically and psychologically. But those attacks start in Gaza and are targeted outward - at Israeli schoolchildren:
Palestinian Islamic Jihad Website and a spokesman claimed the volleys of Qassam rocket fire at Sderot were launched to mark the beginning of the school year. They bragged that they had disrupted the studies of Israeli school children and the daily lives of Israeli civilians.
Those rocket attacks happened in the middle of the morning, when the kids were being walked to school. The timing was very deliberate: that's the only time of the day when Sderot schoolchildren are too far from a building to get to shelter in time. But the Palestinian campaigns that are explicitly meant to disrupt the school days and lives of Israeli kids - those somehow never make it into UN reports.
