HRW: "No Basis" For Claims That Hezbollah Used Human Shields. MR: What About All The Photos And Videos [Video]

Eye roll:

In its harshest condemnation of Israel since last summer's war, Human Rights Watch charged that most of the Lebanese civilian casualties came from "indiscriminate Israeli airstrikes," according to a report to be released Thursday. In a statement issued before the report's release, the human rights organization said there was no basis to the Israeli claim that civilian casualties resulted from Hizbullah guerrillas using civilians as shields. Israel has said that it attacked civilian areas because Hizbullah set up rocket launchers in villages and towns.

Got that bold part? "No basis" for the claim that Hezbollah guerrillas used civilians as human shields. None. Nada. Zip. Zilch.

Here is a photograph of Hezbollah guerrillas using civilians as human shields:

Here is a video of Hezbollah guerrillas using civilians as human shields:

And here are leaked UN documents about how Hezbollah used their peacekeepers as human shields.

They really can just get away with even the most easily disprovable anti-Israel fabrication, as long as it's suitably vicious. We're kind of surprised that they didn't throw in "also, Israel poisoned a bunch of wells while they were in Lebanon, in between corrupting the country with New York money". If you're going to lie as part of a semi-organized campaign to demonize the Jewish State, at least do it with a little style. Plus - this lie is just so tired. It''s already been done by liberal media outlets and even by other human rights organizations. It's like these people aren't even trying any more.

The only thing more annoying than an anti-Semite anti-Zionist is a boring anti-Semite anti-Zinoist.
