Not that this hasn't been the case for the better part of half of a decade, but everything points to something not insignificant going on with Iran. Pelosi better act fast if she wants that photo op with Ahmadinejad.

Iran's use of anti-US military proxies is all but out in the open, while the US has moved a third carrier group into the region and has taken to regularly making its presence felt around Iranian naval assets.

The IDF is leaking to any newspaper willing to listen that they're ready to go militarily against Iran. How much of that is bluster is an open question - but does anybody think that the IAF doesn't have a plan for attacking Iran? The odds of success are debatable - but we're willing to bet significant amounts of our credit card debt that training missions have been going on for a while.

On Iran's side, they're arresting, beating, and shooting anyone they can get their hands on. From their former nuclear negotiator to anyone who looks too young or happy to cute puppies (seriously!) Almost like they're afraind of a coming wave of dissent. This could just be the upswings and downswings that paranoid totalitarian governments go through, but it's undeniable that they've been cracking down across the board recently.
