Syria Is Offering What In Exchange For the Golan?
We missed this at the end of last week, but see if you can tell what's wrong with this offer:
How does Syria, a member in good standing of the United Nations, have access to Israeli soldiers kidnapped in an act of war by ostensibly Lebanese irregulars? We're all for the idea that international diplomacy requires that certain things remain unspoken. As much as it frustrates us, we can at least wrap our mind around how mendacious unspoken anti-Israel alliances work. But Syria is saying this out loud, and nobody seems to care.
