World Reacts With Shrug To Red Cross Workers Killed In Israeli-Palestinian Firefight

Just kidding, obviously. The Red Cross personnel were killed in Lebanon. We'd ask "what would happen if Israel hit a Red Cross vehicle," but that's not the example. Better: what would happen if Israel was blamed for hitting a Red Cross vehicle shot at by Palestinian terrorists. We're quite certain the reaction would be less muted than what this disaster has elicited:

Two Lebanese Red Cross workers were shot dead Monday afternoon outside a Palestinian refugee camp at the centre of clashes between Lebanese soldiers and Islamist fighters. According to unconfirmed reports, the pair were shot as they were escorting away from the camp some Muslim clerics trying to negotiate an end to the standoff.

And remember: this was a Red Cross vehicle that was in a war zone but was certainly not carrying munitions and reinforcements to fighters. That sharply distinguishes it from any Palestinian ambulance entering a fire-fight - which, you know, 50/50. Boker Tov Boulder caught a kind of peculiar aspect of this story that we don't know what to think about. Wouldn't be the worst thing to get an answer on though.
