Campaign To Save Sderot Bakeries, Families
Lynn-B from In Context just gave us the heads up on what sounds like a very worthwhile campaign to help the besieged residents of Sderot. The local bakeries there are in danger of going out of business, piling hard financial losses and devastated families on top of everything else. Standing Together, a non-profit that accepts donations to bring food and comfort to Israeli soldiers on active duty, just started a program to purchase Shabbat Challah from those teetering bakeries and bring them to IDF troops on base during the weekend:
* Two challot plus half kilo cookies: NS 25
* Two challot plus half kilo rogelach: NS 25
* Two challot (70% whole wheat) plus half kilo cookies: NS 26
* Two challot (70% whole wheat) plus half kilo rogelach: NS 26
Orders and payment: You have to give me the order and payment by Thurs afternoon.
NS 25 is less than US $5. If you want to help Standing Together, please contact David Rapport for more information.
