We've Been Tagged: Thinking Bloggers Meme
Elder of Zion tagged us last Friday in Thinking Bloggers Meme, something that has to be one of the longest running tag memes on the blogosphere. The idea is that - in addition to what's admittedly a pretty neat graphic...

... anyone who's tagged is asked to list 5 additional blogs that make them think. As Elder points out, this thing has gone around the blogosphere at least a couple of times since it started in February. So we're going to try to break out of the JBlogosphere and suggest some of the sites that regularly make us think.

We warn you in advance that you're not going to appreciate some of the political commentary on these sites - not because it's nuanced or hard-hitting, but because leftist academic political pronouncements make the word "glib" blush from inadequacy. Some - but certainly not all - of the authors are testaments to how one can be brilliant and complicated intellectually, but somewhat myopic ideologically. Still, brilliant and complicated intellectually they certainly are.
