Of course they will:
The U.S. intends to continue funding and training Palestinian security forces loyal to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, despite the formation of a unity government with Hamas. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told the Congress House subcommittee that controls foreign aid that the State Department was close to completing a revised plan regarding the PA, which would take into account the recent political developments. The formation of the unity government in the PA has complicated the U.S.'s long-term plans for the creation of a Palestinian security force under Abbas that would counterweigh forces under the control of Hamas. Rice said the administration was trying to find ways to support the development of forces loyal to those who accept the principals of the Quartet. She added the funds requested by the administration for aid for the PA would be reduced, due to concerns over how some funds would be spent.
They have some concerns? Well that seems valid, given how Hamas bragged last week that they were siphoning off Abbas's money for their own soldiers:
A Hamas source said Tuesday that part of the $100 million in tax revenues transferred by Israel to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas went to pay security services, including members of a Hamas-led force. "The [Hamas] Executive Force was a part of the security services which received part of their salaries, just like the other forces," the source said. During his meeting with Abbas on Sunday, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert asked him to account for how the revenues had been spent.
But no worries. There's at least a very small chance that the money won't end up in the hands of Hamas terrorists. After all, we learned two weeks ago that the Fatah terrorists also need money:
Reality chose to... perfectly juxtapose [Abbas's complaints]... with a story about 18 Abbas-linked terrorists: "Israel Defense Forces troops raided the Palestinian military headquarters in Ramallah early Wednesday and arrested 18 fugitives who had sought shelter there... Among those taken was Khalil Shilo, a member of the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, a violent offshoot of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement
Genocidal terrorists and enthusiastic terrorist allies and insipid terrorist appeasers. What a world we live in.
