Morning Headline Snark - 2007-03-19
This is where we tell you that we're about to leave town for two weeks. Blogging is going to be sporadic and, since we're splitting our time between Norman, OK and Dallas, TX, probably very grumpy. To help ease you into the transition, here's some totally unproductive snark about some of the headlines floating around this morning:
* Israel recognizes that Lebanon II was a "war" - Great. Now if only we could've gotten them to realize that it was an actual war during the summer
* France to donate art work from the Louvre to Abu Dhabi satellite museum - Honestly, we don't know what the big rush is. If the the folks in Abu Dhabi just waited a couple years, they'll be able to get all the art work they want out of the Louvre. Or just move the whole damn thing.
* Iraq steps up anti-Israel boycott - It's almost like there's something cultural going on in the Arab world
* Hooters is opening up a branch in Israel - There's simply no joke that we can make that's better than the WaPo writeup. Just click through.
* Poll: More than half of Israelis support Diaspora Jews' right to criticize Israel - Meanwhile, ninety-eight percept of Israelis support Israelis' right not to care what they say (seriously, maybe dumbest poll ever - they're asking Israelis if they have a problem with arguing with someone...)
