Mere Rhetoric: Israeli-Arab Fifth Column Watch - If Israelis Support People Who Want To Wipe Out Israel, Is It Still Treason If Those Israelis Happen To Be Arab?

Israel's Arab citizens enjoy more political, social, and economic rights than any Arab citizens of any other country anywhere else in the Middle East.

Despite this, almost a majority of them also support the genocidal lunatics from Hezbollah. The "almost" part is a small comfort though, because an overwhelming majority of them are openly hostile to the state that fields an army to defend them, allows them to vote, and provides them with a first world life:

Almost 50 percent of Israeli Arabs justify Hizbullah's kidnapping of soldiers Ehud Goldwasser and Eldad Regev, and 90 percent regard the IDF bombings in Lebanon during the last war as war crimes. Moreover, the vast majority of Israeli Arabs continues to express anti-Israeli views, showed a survey conducted by Haifa University's Dean of Social Studies Sammy Smooha: Some 48 percent justify the launching of rockets at Israel by Hizbullah during the last war. Only 44 percent thought it was a war crime.

But hey, maybe they have really good reasons for their vehement dislike of the Jewish State. If so, that would be news to the experts who make their living figuring those reasons out:

The findings of the survey, which is scheduled to be presented at the first Haifa Conference for Social Responsibility, surprised Professor Smooha: "One would expect Israeli Arabs to be more pro-Israel due to the unique situation in the last war. "The war did not involve the Palestinians and the Hizbullah rockets endangered their lives and property too. The aggressor was a fundamentalist Islamic organization that most Israeli Arabs do not support," he added. "Hizbullah, a Shiite movement, is supported by a fundamentalist Shiite non-Arab country (Iran) that the Arabs are not keen on. During the war, the attacker also violated the sovereignty of an Arab country (Lebanon) and caused major damages to it," he explained.

Here's our radical suggestion: we don't think that Arab-Israeli's hatred for Israel has much to do with things like "rational reasons" or "logic". We think that it has to do with a deep resentment and a pathological dislike of something about Israelis that sets the Jewish State off from the rest of the world... something having to do with religion.
