So we were catching up with some of the tech blogs that we read, and came across a story about how Dr Ruth used to be a sniper. Money line:

The problem was that we had this nagging feeling that we'd seen this story before. Either someone we read had blogged it or we had blogged it ourselves (and you'd be surprised how many stories we just outright forget after posting on them). If it was us, we'd feel kind of silly blogging it again. If it was someone else, we'd feel sheepish for not citing them.

Now if you look at the right sidebar, about halfway down, you'll see the Search The Center search engine. It's a Google Co-op project that we kind of scratched out on the back of a napkin with the help of not a few other bloggers. It takes your search terms and searches a little over 40 centerist blogs, most but not all of which are pro-Israel. It's an invaluable way to quickly get reasonable information about Israel - using full Google will get you bogged down by thousands of lunatic Electronic Intifada and Counterpunch conspiracy theories. It also functions as a quick and dirty JBlog search engine.

So we type in "Dr. Ruth Haganah" into the Search The Center search box, and lo and behold:

So it turns out that Meryl's excuse for being inexplicably down on 300 - that she doesn't like violence - is getting shakier and shakier by the day. You know what? We have a different theory: Meryl Yourish hates awesome movies, Western civilization, cute puppies, and rainbows. Yeah, we said it.
