Hamas Makes New Offer: They Still Won't Live Up To Any Of Their Obligations, But They Won't Murder Jews For A While
As the old folks say, this stinks on ice:
How about: eff off and die. How's that for an answer?
This is just great. Hamas's offer is: "we will continue to not live up to the Palestinian government's international obligations, but we won't actually be genocidal for a couple of months".
Question: what does Israel get out of this that it isn't already entitled to under peace deals Hamas is obligated to follow?
Answer: less than nothing.
Literally - less than nothing. Hamas is offering to not go murder Jewish civilians if Israel will not force them to live up to treaties... not to murder Jewish civilians AND to end incitement AND to stop funding terrorism AND to encourage peace. We're not experts at this kind of thing, but isn't that not how this game is played?
Our best guess: This Is How the Palestinian Authority Will Dodge Its Treaty Obligations. Again.
