Did Jimmy Carter Really Just Accuse An Honored Rabbi Of Money Grubbing? Of Course He Did.
The man can't put his pen to paper without producing something that sounds exactly like anti-Semitism. Now he's accusing the Wiesenthal Center's Rabbi Hier of grubbing for money:

All the usual warnings apply: Carter's probably not an anti-Semite in the sense of actually hating individual Jews for being Jewish. But he is so hopelessly obtuse and insensitive to the horror of anti-Jewish persecution that he just doesn't notice when his moral indignation crosses the line into anti-Semitic territory. Why he's so hopelessly obtuse and insensitive is a different question. It has to do with the circles that he grew up in and the circles that he runs in, but it's certainly too tangled for easy analysis (via Yourish via LGF, picture from LGF)
