Saniora is trying to act like Lebanon is a real country. How adorable:

We'd have a lot more respect for this attempt if Lebanon actually had any sovereignty over their border. Or for that matter, over the south of their country. Iran has more say-so about what happens in southern Lebanon than the duly elected government of Lebanon. Israel isn't making overflights of Lebanon, they're making overflights of Hezbollahstan.

Now if you were a simple-minded liberal, anti-Zionist lunatic, or Kos commenter (but we repeat ourselves...) you would be screaming about how this is Israel's fault because it keeps violating Lebanese airspace. This would be overlooking the fact that Lebanon has still not fulfilled its most basic obligation under UN resolutions and ceasefires - to disarm Hezbollah and take control of their own damn southern border. The IAF overflights are a direct result of Lebanon's utter failure, since Israel has to know what kind of weapons Hezbollah is smuggling in and where they're planting their bombs (which they're recently taken to doing again):

So spare us the odes to Lebanese sovereignty.
