Palestinian Non-Civil War Watch - Friday Truce Edition (Plus: The Definition of a Ceasefire "Collapse")

What's the over/under on how long it takes this thing to fail:

Hamas and Fatah officials said Friday afternoon that they had agreed in principle to a new cease-fire in the Gaza Strip, but needed more meetings to work out the details of a pullback of forces. At least 10 Palestinians were killed Friday in clashes between Hamas and Fatah, bringing the total number of fatalities since a brief cease-fire collapsed Thursday to 17, Palestinian sources said midday Friday. Some 170 have been wounded in the fierce fighting."We, the leaders of the two groups, agreed with God's help on a cease-fire," said Nizar Rayan, a regional Hamas leader, after the meeting. The measures that will be taken on the ground will be discussed in the next few hours.

God's help indeed. To quote Kevin Smith's Dogma, "God doesn't live here anymore. He's grown weary of your superficial faith. He's turned a deaf ear to your lip service prayers."

Do note though: when a bunch of Palestinians get killed by Palestinian militia members, apparently that means that the ceasefire has "collapsed". When Israeli civilians get murdered in a suicide bombing, it just endangers the fragile ceasefire. Of course it does.
