UCLA Gets Our Identity Stolen
Not to date ourselves, but we applied to UCLA almost a decade ago. Not only have they been keeping our records, but they've been keeping them in a place so secure that they just got stolen. We could not be more psyched about this email:
"Sophisticated computer hacker". Give us a break. Some work study with an IQ of 90 probably got socially engineered by a 14 year old script kiddie with a prepaid cell phone plan. And it took them over a year to detect the exploit? Are you kidding? And what the hell was UCLA doing keeping decade-old records on a computer anyway?
The LA Times puts the number of records compromised at 800,000. Awesome. Just awesome. We could not be more happy with life right now.
