Who's Sending Arms to Hezbollah and Syria Today?
All signs point to North Korea testing a nuke in the short term. Meanwhile, Cyprus has just impounded a ship from North Korea because the "meteorological equipment" looks just like high-tech military equipment (good thing too, because France is refusing to intercept ships that might be bringing in weapons to Lebanon). UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, determined to end Israel’s air blockade on Lebanon, promised solemnly that UN monitors would control incoming passengers and goods at Beirut airport. But he failed to make the Siniora government follow through on this pledge. The Lebanese prime minister immediately barred the airport to UN inspections.
