New Al Qaida Tape Is a Surprise to 80%-ish of Muslim World
What the hell? We thought the Jews did it:
A tape of Osama bin Laden and other al Qaeda members purportedly preparing for the Sept. 11 attacks has aired on the Arab TV station Al Jazeera today. The tape is said to have been filmed in Afghanistan. Al Jazeera said before airing the video that it was new and that it showed bin Laden personally and directly supervising the planning of the attacks. The video shows bin Laden sitting in a mountainous area surrounded by other men, including Ramzi Bin al Shiba and Abu Hafs al Masri.
Less then 20% of Muslims polled in 2002 believe that Arabs were responsible for 9/11. Last month, Pew interviewed Muslims in 10 countries. There was not a single country where a majority of Muslims thoughtt that Arabs were responsible - 15% in Pakistan and 16% in Turkey. You know what, don't worry about it - the Jews probably fabricated this tape too. Just like Lebanese Prime Minster Siniora accused Israel of fabricating a videotape of Hezbollah firing rockets from civilian areas (because - and we quote - "you can do anything with present technology").
Also in this poll: 98% of Jordanians are anti-Semitic. That might sound bad, but it's 2% less than what it was last time.
