Hamas Taps Terrorist Leader to Be Police Chief

The Hamas-led Palestinian Authority - an internationally recognized kind of government ostensibly treaty-bound to preventing its citizens from launching terrorist attacks into Israel - has appointed a terrorist as their new Interior Minister

A militant leader who has been appointed to a senior security position in the Hamas-led Palestinian government and is wanted by Israel said Friday he would not abandon the fight against Israel. Jamal Abu Samhadana, high on Israel's most-wanted list as leader of the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC), was appointed Thursday to supervise the Interior Ministry and set up a new police force from militants to crack down on anarchy and chaos. He said his first order of business would be amalgamating militants in the security forces: "Factions and security services should unite in one trench against the daily Israeli aggression against our people."

As far as this week's appointments go, we're unimpressed. This isn't even half as good as the UN putting an Iranian diplomat on their disarmament commission.
