The Forward Has Leak on JTS Chancelor Search

To the extent that we're willing to be snarky regarding Jewish movements of all ideological stripes (recent riots by Chasidic Jews: good, because we were afraid that there was still a Jewish subculture in New York that we didn't have a good reason to mock)... anyway, to the extent that we're willing to be snarky regarding Jewish movements of all ideological stripes, it behooves us to pass on news of the genuine direction that these movements are taking. The Forward is passing on leaks from two sources that a decision has been made in the chancelor search at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. The flagship of American conservatism has been searching for a replacement for Rabbi Ismar Schorsch, and apparently his successor is going to be Arnold Eisen. The article has more, including gossip on Eisen's competitors.
