Arab Parties "Definitely" Prefer Peretz to Olmert

We're not saying that this actually rises to anything like an argument, but it's certainly something to think about:

In the meantime, President Katsav continued the series of consultations with faction heads, ahead of assigning the task of assembling the next government. Katsav met Tuesday with representatives of the Arab factions and Likud members. Hadash representatives did not recommend a prime minister candidate, but stressed that they would definitely prefer Peretz over Olmert.

You can find other Hadash stories on MR in posts such as Israeli-Arab Parliment Member Sends Anti-Israel Letter To Hague, I Love The Smell Of Treason In The Morning, and OK, See, That's Almost Definitionally Treason. For more on the considerations that guide Israel's Arab parties in general, see Uhh, That's Treason and Is It Still Treason If Arab MKs Mask Their Support for Terrorism With Thin Euphemisms? Now go back up and read that again: "they would definitely prefer Peretz over Olmert".
