Insurgents-Fighting-Occupation Watch
There must be some sort of deep psychological trauma which inclines mainstream media outlets, think-tanks, and academic organizations to insist that Islamic fanatics are "fighting occupation" even when the Islamic fanatics themselves insist the exact opposite:
Al-Qaeda in Iraq, the terror group led by Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, has released a new statement in which it explains the reasons for its terror campaign and states that they are not fighting the US occupation of Iraq, but to create "an Islamic state which is part of the caliphate and the Muslim territory."
Whether it's in the West Bank or in Iraq, Islamism is an ideology with global ambitions. Islamists seek to establish a caliphate first in the Middle East, then in Western Europe, and then throughout the entire world. Implying otherwise is either ignorant or dishonest.
