Israelis Blame Israelis for Palestinian Terrorism
Remember when only the other side blamed terrorist attacks on Israeli actions:
Right-wing critics of Israel's withdrawal from Gaza held Prime Minister Ariel Sharon responsible for the shooting attack in Gush Etzion that killed three and wounded another three on Sunday, saying the disengagement had set the conditions for renewed terror in the West Bank.
"The prime minister, who fled from Qassam attacks in Gush Katif, is bringing terror into Gush Etzion," MK Binyamin Elon (National Union) told Army Radio. MK Ehud Yatom (Likud) also blamed Sharon, saying a wave of terror had been expected following the evacuation.
Apparently, "only Palestinians are responsible for Palestinian terror attacks" doesn't hold when you're trying to score cheap political points against a sitting Prime Minister from your own party. That this is also a stupid argument - as if Palestinian terrorists in the West Bank would have stopped targeting Jews if Sharon had not evacuated the Gaza Strip - is beside the point.
