Where To Begin?
We don't even know what to get angry about:
An Afghan refugee who held a wedding ceremony with a 16-year-old boy in Pakistan could be executed by the tribal council.
The Telegraph reports that Liaquat Ali, a member of the Pashtun tribe, did not tell guests at his wedding ceremony in advance that the bride was not a woman. Local newspapers reports that he had paid the boy's family about $675 for the teenager, also a refugee from Afghanistan. Homosexuality is illegal in Pakistan and a violation of Islamic law.
Presumably, if the refugee had purchased a 16 year old girl - while she might not have cost as much as $675 - he would have been free to go about his business unencumbered by concern for violations of Islamic law.
