Just a Thought

Five years ago Ariel Sharon visited the Temple Mount - the holiest site in Judaism and also the location of a mosque holy to Muslims. Sharon did not set foot in the mosque, but spent just over half an hour walking around other sites on the Mount - which were at the time, as they often are, open to tourists. The Palestinians claimed to be so outraged that a Jew would have the impertinence to walk near a mosque that they started an ongoing, five year war. At the time, major news organizations and most diplomats "expressed concern" at Sharon's "provocation".
In the last two weeks, Palestinians have burned synagogues to the ground and desecrated the ones that weren't destroyed by turning them into museums celebrating the murder of Jews. Quite the opposite from being condemned, the Palestinians' repeated outrages have been excused and even celebrated by many in the West.
