Israeli Fifth Column Watch
Now can we call them traitors:
Attacks on mosques could lead to an Israeli Arab revolution, the Islamic Movement's northern branch, Sheikh Raed Salah said on Friday during a rally at the Hassan Bek Mosque in southern Tel Aviv, one week after a pig's head was thrown into the mosque.
For those of you following along at home, an "Israeli Arab revolution" means that the 10 percent of Israeli citizens who are Arab - and who live, work, and vote in Israel - would take up arms in order to rampage against Jews and attempt to violently overthrow the government. And what they can't accomplish by force, they're willing to whine to the UN about:
The sheikh also said that the Islamic Movement was drafting a document detailing violation of Israeli Arab rights by the state. The document, he said, will be handed to the United Nations and human rights organizations.
We were going to ask when sub-national groups got standing at the UN, but since this involves UN disrespect of Israel we'd rather not know the answer. Instead, wrap your mind around this: of the entire Middle East, only in Israel do Arabs have the freedom to complain about having their rights violated. And only in Israel are they threatening violent revolution. And only in Israel is the UN going to side with them over the government.
