Oh Give Me a Break
We've been unequivocal in our condemnation of Natan-Zada, and unrepentant in labeling him a terrorist. But this Israeli Arabs live in fear meme is getting out of hand:
After burying four of their neighbors killed by an Israeli militant in army dress, the residents of Shfaram are questioning their security as an Arab minority living at the heart of the Jewish state... But Israeli Arabs say the killings have heightened fears that they will bear the brunt of ultra-rightist Israeli anger over Israel's upcoming pullout from the Gaza Strip even though Arab citizens have generally avoided armed conflict with Israel.
There have been two Jewish terrorist attacks on Arabs in the last 12 years - exactly two. During that time, over 1,300 Israelis have been murdered by Arab terrorists without a single vigilante taking matters into his own hands, let alone some Jewish mob randomly lynching Arabs. Natan-Zada - a deranged murderer - has set back the security of the State of Israel and the Zionist cause. But to imply that this is the start of some massive campaign of violence against Arabs, as the international media and Arab spokespeople are implying, is ignorant at best and anti-Israeli fear-mongering at worst.
