When UN Incompetence Stops Being Cute
What will the IAEA (or, as we like to call them, the last people on Earth who don't know Iran is going nuclear) say when the unthinkable happens:
Israel's Defense Ministry has determined that Iran could destroy the Jewish state with two atomic bombs. Officials said the ministry and the Israel Defense Forces have conducted simulations of an Iranian nuclear attack for damage assessment and response. They said authorities have determined that two nuclear bombs that explode in the center and north of Israel would destroy most of the population and all vital infrastructure.
They'll say "we didn't know" - the same thing their ilk were saying 60 years ago. The excuse wasn't any more credible in 1945 then it will be in 2010. The difference is this time, maybe three months later and very quietly, someone will say that "the Jews should have made peace with the Arabs earlier," and the sophisticated intelligentsia listening to them will nod sagely.
