Palestinians Threaten Fragile Ceasefire By Lighting Stuff on Fire with Weapons
They're so trust-worthy:
Israel Defense Forces soldiers foiled an attempt by Palestinian militants to place a roadside explosive near the south Gaza Strip settlement of Morag late Tuesday.
The soldiers opened fire at two militants who were approaching the settlement. One of the militants was believed to have been killed while the other escaped. IDF troops operating in the area also came under fire immediately after the incident.
Earlier Tuesday evening, clashes renewed between Gaza settlers and Palestinians near a structure which settlers had taken control of in the Hamuasi region of Gush Katif.
Or, in the words of Reuters, "Israel says shoots Palestinian near Gaza settlement":
The incident was the latest to strain a more than four-month-old ceasefire between Israel and the Palestinians.
How many times does something actually have to be on fire after exploding before it's no longer "strain"?
