If Only There Was Some Sort of Pattern!
As celebrations of Nazism and anti-Semitic vandalism threaten to spiral out of control in Britain, the British government responds by taking a public stance against organizations dedicated to wiping out Jews. They promise to deal only with really successful or popular Hamas candidates:
Britain will have no contact with Hamas leaders, British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw told Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom Tuesday, but left the impression that lower-level meetings with Hamas functionaries who have won elected office in Palestinian municipalities may be unavoidable.
Not for nothing, but just over two weeks ago Hamas threatened to launch attacks in Britain.
