The entire episode is something out of an over-eager Ayn Rand hatchet job: a woman bound to a life of sexual servitude because the religious gang that controls her village has taken exception to something a member of her family did with someone else from her village. Perhaps this is the time to consider that there might be something to liberal Western values after all.
