I sometimes sympathize with European internationalists. It must be hard to go around day in and day out having to pretend that you think that the Jewish state is legitimate. Just witness those poor folks over at the 2004 Olympic website, who couldn't decide where to put Israel's capital so in the end just declared that it doesn't have one. These routine acts of de-legitimization don't even get press attention any more.
And when they are criticized, it's not even as if these people are even being criticized for anti-Semitism. No, they’re being criticized for letting their anti-Semitism affect their work – anti-Semitism is just another personal belief or hobby now, like Star Trek. You’re not allowed to dress up like a Star Trek character at work, and you’re not allowed to let anti-Semitism influence how you build webpages. Except that at the Olympics, you’re allowed to let anit-Semitism influence how you build webpages.
